The Citrus Heights Police Department Chooses POSS™

Freehold, NJ – December 2008 - VCSI, the Public Safety Scheduling Consultancy & Software Corporation, is pleased to announce that the City of Citrus Heights Police Department (CA) has selected POSS for its time management and shift scheduling needs after an extensive search and review of competitive scheduling systems.

The City of Citrus Heights, which is located approximately fifteen miles northeast of Sacramento, California has a population of almost 90,000 residents served by the Citrus Heights Police Department.

According to Lt. Daman Christensen of the Citrus Heights Police Department, it was necessary to select a system that was "logical, easy to use and one that incorporated three essential components of scheduling within a single view..."

The day to day work schedule which includes overtime and leave time
Attendance at training
Attendance at court

Lt. Christensen continues, "POSS was the one scheduling system which accounted for personnel in each of the three areas. The successful implementation of POSS will result in increased efficiency and effectiveness in the management of scheduling and controlling payroll."
